Well, ain't that just like the pot calling the kettle black? You made me smile, Nancy. That was a good one. Checkmate!

I don't think the way you do, dude. I don't categorize and compartmentalize people the way you do. That's what bothers you about people like me. You regard people like me as weak because we don't, for example, believe that all criminals have to be locked away forever. That's the essence of this discussion, remember? You think that all criminals need to be punished no matter what and others of us feel that there are viable alternatives.

When you say that I view people that I disagree with as "bad, stupid, ignorant, naive" or whatever alternative pejorative you can dream up, you must be talking about the way I view izzie since he doesn't share my right-of-center, conservative viewpoints on things. Oh wait, I seem to remember a guy by the name of StubbornOldMan refer to izzie as a 'good liberal who can defend his viewpoints without relying on personal attacks' or words to that effect. Do you remember me writing those words? Perhaps you don't.

Or, you might be referring to my posts about (D) Senator Sullivan in his role as our State Senator. It's no secret that I don't find his legislative 'achievements' particularly noteworthy. It's fair to say that his viewpoints don't agree with mine on most LEGISLATIVE matters. I won't get into the long list of examples here, but you probably have read most of them. Did I ever call him "bad, stupid, ignorant, naive" or whatever alternative pejorative you can dream up? Did I ever make any personal attack on him? Did I attack his ability to be a good husband to his wife and a good parent to his kids? If you're trying to tell me that it's wrong for me to take issue with ANYBODY's viewpoint who has a different viewpoint than I do, then you're clearly a hypocrite since you do exactly that on a daily basis here on TTS. Perhaps I should start lobbing some personal attacks at liberals here in order to live up to your stereotype about me where I "categorize and compartmentalize" people who are "bad, stupid, ignorant or naive". Sorry, but it's unlikely that I'll do that. Even to you.

Getting back to Sue (and other non-violent felons)... Did you read about what happened in Waukesha today? This chick stole $300,000 from the Senior meals on wheels program over the past few years. I say put her away as Sue's neighbor at Waupun for a long time. Let's not forget about Latasha Jackson, either (have we already?) None of these female potential felons have killed anybody, but they sure caused innocent people to suffer tangible damages as a result of their felonious, selfish, intentional actions. The alternative to encarcerating felons of all types is to let them free. That'll save the taxpayers lots of money since felons like this aren't likely to kill any of us, right? Damn personal responsibility and accountability, right? Sorry, but I disagree with your general viewpoint on the issue of crime/punishment/rehabilitation. If that makes me evil in your eyes, then deal with it.

Has anybody heard or read anything anything about Sue's husband and his possible involvement in this massive embezzlement?

So what is your opinion on what should happen to this criminal?
Felon gets his due.

The officer sounds like a decent guy, but his behavior can't be excused. I hope that he's able to pick up the pieces once he finishes his sentence and get on with his life. I wonder why someone with PTSD would even be in law enforcement to begin with.

It's possible that he did not disclose it. And is PTSD an illness that should prevent someone from owning or using a firearm?

Why can't the Sheriff's officers attend the city support group?

What does this have to do with Koss? The Troll smells an anti-cop agenda here.

Maybe. People with PTSD can overreact to noises and sudden movement. They can also dissociate. In most cases, people who are dissociating just space out but they can also act without being entirely aware of what they're doing. It's manageable, but I'd hate to be around someone with untreated, combat related PTSD and a gun.
