This one is, in fact, about Obama calling people out for spending their money on luxuries instead of necessities. But we might as well talk about the other issues on this thread. I agree that Palin is exploiting her son and has done so from the time he was born. I guess it's her right at least until he can speak up for himself, which may never happen. I also agree that she's a hypocrite. The difference between humans and other mammals is that we know how to accessorize. Madeleine Albright speaking on the uses of jewelry in diplomacy.

I certainly await the chorus of the liberal morons in TTS to defend this disaster of a president. Thanks for the clarification, Nancy. My nearly 2,000 posts certainly expose my interest in what goes on on TTS, but I just got the sudden spate of "F___ing retard" threads mixed up. Who's got the obsession with "f____ing retard" anyway? And does that say anything about him/her/them? But, back to the subject(s). I think he's talking about Obama here. If he thinks Obama is a "f____ing retard," as his/her/their post title implies . . . what was Bush for embroiling us in Iraq and wrecking the economy? You know, I also doubt he/she/they sincerely "await the chorus of the liberal morons in TTS to defend this disaster of a president." When you just called the president a "f____ing retard," it doesn't take much of an argument from the defenders of the office of the presidency. Especially when their last example was GWB.

Normally, according to the media elites' rulebook and the TTS liberal fascists, when liberals rant, it's called free speech; when conservatives rant, it is hate speech.
When Sarah Palin made Rahm Emanuel's expletive-enhanced use of the word "f------- retarded" an embarrassment for him and the president, she forced the left to live up to its own P.C. standards.
I am proud to be hated by the progressives leftists liberals communists. They all hate reason and truth and facts and logic and individual responsibility and..... pretty much everything good and wholesome in the world.
The more hateful, irrational and delusional the "progressives" get, the more they make this former liberal step to the right.

NPR commentator Andrei Codrescu on his "All Things Considered" segment stated, "The evaporation of four million people who believe in this Christian crap would leave this world a better place."
Whether they are called liberals, progressives or socialists they share a common hatred of people, they are misanthropes and you can see it leak out with every one of their hateful sentences.
I hope Palin stays on Rahm about this. what I find even more amazing is that the media and most wwriters have completely ignored the use of the f-word. I am no prude but I really find the use of both words to call people in this country something like this to be equally as reprehensible. When Obama talked of civility at the national Prayer Breakfast, it was clear he was talking about the Right, not his own administration. as a country, we have a long way to go

"Crap" is a bad word, at least if applied to Christianity, so people shouldn't use it. Same with the f-word. And yet you began this thread, perpetuating the use of the f-word. Just for the record, I think we should speak more respectfully to each other, and Codrescu's statement is more appalling, not because of the word crap but because of the abhorrent suggestion of any kind of genocide.

Whats really retarded here is that some friggin retard thinks Emanuel was referring to people as retards. Ya retard he was referring to their actions as being retarded. People like that retard make Republicans and Conservatives all look retarded.

I've been on this message board for about 2 weeks. As a new comer I can say that the level of conversation here is pretty low. My anecdotal observation is that one person, under a batch of pseudonyms, hijacks the majority of threads and turns them into silly pissing matches between so called "liberals" and "conservatives". I can honestly say that after 2 weeks that this individual(s) has disinterested me in this entire square. Unfortunately there are thoughtful people from every perspective who are drowned out by this retarded behavior. There, I said it, whoever is doing it really needs to get a life. There's more to this world than meaningless political food fights.

Nancy, i'll definetly stick around and partipate. Its just seems there's a troll or 2 who want to turn every conversation into a political food fight when its not really necessary. It dominates the boards and turns me off quite frankly. I love a good debate, not trolls looking to get a rise out of you and others.

This is not an unmoderated forum, but it's moderated with a light touch. There was a time when we did have a moderator, but budget cuts at the JS made it impossible for them to be as vigilant as they once were. I think, and I'm not alone in this opinion, that the trolls are people who were ejected from the forum back in the days when the moderator did this kind of thing. I think the use of multiple identities started as a way to beat the moderator and now this individual just thinks he's being clever. In any case, I think it's good to have as many people as possible posting with their own voices and opinions. There will still be arguments and some might become heated, but they'll be genuine arguments and not just provocation from trolls followed by frustrated responses.
