I'm a huge fan of Lalli's pizza but I stopped ordering from there because of the kids working there. Before I stopped ordering... they were 50% at getting my order right. I got sick and tired of waiting around an extra 20 minutes because of their incompetence.
I haven't food a good substitute.

Pizzeria Piccola is good, and so is Cranky's. I love Balistreri's but not everyone likes the thin crust thing.
And I'll probably get stoned, but Papa Murphy's bake your own is surprisingly good.
Edwardos if you like stuffed pizza. And you can get a thin crust with pesto: nice.

Piccola is as close to the pizza you get when you are in Rome as I have ever had. Cranky's is good, but I wish they would pull the pizza out about a minute earlier than they do. It gets a little dark on the bottom sometimes.
I like Lallis, but we didn't stop going there because of the staff, we stopped because they only take cash and it is always a hassle for either my husband or I to hit the ATM before we ordered.
My brother who lives out of state always insists we go to Edwardos when he is in town. I believe the one in Tosa is now one of the few remaining. Its the last in Wisconsin and there are only a handful left in Illinois and Indiana. Kind of like when Rocky's was waning a few years ago, the one in Tosa held on and now they are on the upswing.

We stopped going to Lalli's because our order was always getting messed up. Every once and awhile, we'll have a Cranky pizza. Most of the time, we make them ourselves.

We like P. Piccolo and Cranky's. We also enjoy Barbiere's on Bluemound, though technically I think that's in Milw

They are not in Tosa but deliver to east side tosa at least. Pap Joes on Vliet and Hawley Is in my opinion the best thin crust on this part of town and the pizza in a cup place Tazzos I think is the name. I go to Crankys once in a while but I don't like the sauce that much and prefer yellow onions over red onions on my pizza.

I thought they had a waay better pizza sauce than Papa Joe's--and we like papa Joe's. I wish they would cook the crust a wee-bit longer. Since Tazza closed we have been considering Lallie's .. never had it. I love Barbiere's and you can get fresh or canned mushrooms on your pizza.. I like canned and the family likes fresh.. so we get both! Pizza Picolo is very good--they do carry-out, take-home frozen, and delivery.

They closed? What a shame. I was going to order from them this year at work so the girls could see their delivery mobile. I could see the girls asking the driver for rides in the parking lot. Lallis ain't bad but the sauce takes a little getting used to

I like fresh, and I just discovered after ten years of marriage that my husband prefers canned. You learn something new about your spouse every day.

All this pizza talk we are going to check out Zaffiro's and take in a movie: "Crazy Heart" at the Downer. Two places I have never been.

If you are going to the East side check out Lisa's pizza on Oakland. There are still times I get a hankering for their pizzas and call in for a pickuo order with a conch salad. A touch of anise in their sauce.

A touch of anise in their sauce. That is how I make my spaghetti sauce... We love Lisa's!! In fact, tonight it was a choice between Lisa's or Zaffiro's; Zaffiro's won only because we are trying something new... I hope we are not disappointed!!

Marcus Corp., who own the theaters, bought the recipe from the original Zaffiro's on Farwell. The original restaurant is still open. It is "old school Italian" decor and delicious, ultra thin pizza. Haven't had the theater version but heard it is pretty good.

Another place is in Mequon's Marcus North Shore Cinema. Fantastic pizza, BTW. I wish we had a pizza that good in Tosa, or at least delivered to Tosa.

Piccola, Balistrieri's, Cranky's and Lalli's -- all favorites in our house with the choice driven by our mood.
Don't know how you former Lalli's orderers are doing it -- I've never had them botch my 'za in 8 years. Just wish they'd send out those discount coupons more often! And speaking of those coupons, if you don't like their cash policy, go to the ATM next time and take out 2 $20s and toss one in the coupon drawer for you to use the next time and you won't need to make that extra stop!
